From beginner to advanced sewing skills, you’ll lead your own projects altering and reimagining clothes and accessories with mentorship from Maxtivity teaching artists and professional re-fashioners. Club participants will have access to a community closet and studio materials to work with, and they have to option to bring clothing items from home to reimagine. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their creations at upcoming community events.
Club meets Thursdays 3-5:30pm. We understand that participants will be arriving at different times based on different school release and travel times. We will start the year with a preliminary schedule (below) but will adjust based on participant schedules. Light snacks provided.
Typical Club Schedule:
*Please note that our studio policy allows participants age 12+ to sign themselves out and walk, bike, or bus home from the studio independently. If a family prefers to restrict their child's departure to a sign-out process by a designated adult, please contact [email protected] when you register.
